Having received a degree in engineering and spent many years in manufacturing businesses, I developed an interest in building things. The ability to use my hands and do good work has always been important to me. I discovered very early on that doing good work was not easy and required much more than just a keen interest or desire.
Craftsmanship may come fast and easy for some but I have found it takes lots of time and patience to develop the skills necessary to create something that has worth to someone else. And bringing satisfaction to customers, to me, is the most rewarding part of being a craftsman.
